Pressing petals

Making tea

Good afternoon/evening. I thought I'd fill you in on a few things I've done this weekend which I think would apply to anyone who is stuck on something to do/ new ways to do anything to avoid what is actually meant to be being done. I'm one for heavy procrastination and today for the first time since I bought my mini tea strainer last year I've actually used it!! They're only a few pounds from a healthy eating type shop (I got mine from where I work) and it's so much fun. I made a raspberry and rose petal brew just by filling up the little thing, closing the hatch and dipping in hot water- it was the nicest cuppa I've had in a while.

This post almost has a nature type feel because I've cut up a lot of pressed and scanned flowers and leaves for letter decoration. Stickers are great but for something extra cute it's nice to decorate things with these too!!

Here's one I decorated earlier...

Fashion wise I've been dressed rather stupidly, finding comfort in part of my gcse drama outfit- a still fake blood covered white shirt, which this weekend I've refused to be without almost.. I love it to bits and it's so warm and has a perfect stiff collar that I really want to decorate!
I went walking out on the hills yesterday after finding my bike had a puncture, and it was really fun to wander about discovering new places despite being dressed in stupid shoes (I was expecting to just be pedaling) and assorted tights/knee high socks/woolly socks...
Anyway, I hope you all did something fun this weekend, even if it was just lonely odd procrastination like me! Infact if anyone reads this, I'd love a comment about what you did/what you do when you get bored. Thankyou!! xxxxx

LBJ (little black jacket)

Hallelujah!! I have finally managed to get the courage to wear my jacket to school, and now I have I can't bear to take it off! At first I thought it was a bit too formal having originally only bought it for a wedding, but now I can sense all sorts of possibilities and I'm very excited for it to develop into something crazy. So hello, here it is for now, just a little bit naked with only 3 Morrissey badges. (which I'm terrified will fall off) Over time I hope for it to look even nicer, and these are the jackets that have been inspiring me...

Effy- Skins Series 4.
Lots and lots and lots of badges.

Rik Mayall as Rick from The Young Ones
Also for the badges (I never did manage to win a Blue Peter Badge though.) I also adore Vyvyan's style in The Young Ones with his little denim number..

And I have a confession, one that I had to reveal this week in an improvised monologue at my theatre class.. I'm becoming completely reliant on listening to Punk rock to have the confidence to walk around college (a bit sad I know), but when I'm having someone as equally angsty shouting in my ears, everything seems a little better.
Thankyou Johnny Rotten from The Sex Pistols
Isn't his jacket beautiful??
I'm in love with Sky Ferreira in this jacket, she's not my favourite model (mainly because I've been told I look like her, pfft I wish) but this is brilliant. I've always been too scared to stick my small patch collection on things, I may have to experiment.. I'd love a slogan jacket or a "Girls" patch, Tavi style..

And finally, combining both the badges and the patches, my lovely Dr Frank from Rocky Horror

While I'm on the subject of fashion, may I remind you, this isn't a fashion blog. I'd love to be, but I'm just not fashionable, I rarely buy clothes due to complete shop phobia but I do like to pour over fashion blogs, magazines and photos!!
Which brings me to THIS ITEM OF BEAUTY...
Look- it's Winona Ryder as Veronica Sawyer from Heathers (basically my favourite film.) I nearly cried when I saw it was from an American store, and so for sale in dollars. Grr.

Anyway, I hope you've all had an excellent week.. what would you do with a plain black jacket, I'd love to hear any other ideas or inspiration??
