About Me

My Photo
I like to pretend I'm in a movie, dress up late at night, roll down hills and make zines.

Coloured pens, old photos, sequins and a craft knife.

No I can't bring myself to get motivation to start any college work but all of a sudden I have started doing a lot more art for myself, just random bits and pieces, and this is all I've done lately.. (in the last week or so).

Okay, art spam over, sorry for the small sizing, it really sucks having used up all my 200 flickr uploads. Anyone out there want to give me a pro account? hint hint. Only joking. I hope everyone is having a nice holiday, I am, dressing up as an Indian Princess and returning to Year 8 when I used to meditate- it's so much fun, burn some candles and incense and just relax.
(The Indian dress up is optional but makes it so much more fun)

P.s if anyone wants to contribute anything to my zine I could absolutely love it, I'm in particular looking for a piece on feminism, but I'm up for any kind of donations.
Thankyou
xxxxxxxx

  1. !!! I like your art, yo. I would like to contribute something to Boom Zine :)))

I can contribute photographs, collages and/or drawings. Haha, I don't consider myself to be a good "feminist voice" so sorry I probably can't contribute to that. I like reading feminist blogs sometimes, but I haven't as of yet had the urge to speak on it myself. (although we just started watching The Taming of the Shrew in my film class and the outrageous sexism might drive me to make a post on it one of these days. not to mention my teacher keeps referring to Elizabeth Taylor's character as a bitch.)

ANYWAY let me know how I can contribute if you'd like! I can send you pictures of my stuff.

  3. Love ALL of these Caitlin, the "coloured religion" one is very appropriate for this weekend too. I would be interested in writing a piece on my take on feminism for you, how many words are you after? And what kind of tone? Let me know, have a lovely Easter x

  5. Would you be interested in a piece that may challenge the feminism we've become used to? I've been playing around with the idea that if feminists are mainly fighting for gender equality, then shouldn't girls have to do traditionally male tasks too?

Also, for the Bowie piece, I like it with only part of his face covered. It adds interest to be able to see what he really looks like and what you've done to his image. :)
