I'VE BOUGHT SOMETHING!

I know most blogs are all full of beautiful clothes, fashion and everyone’s latest purchases and sometimes I get very jealous of how people can find both nice clothes, and be able to buy them. It’s not just about money, though I hate to spend too much- I just hate shopping. I’m terrified of shopping centre’s, even little cute vintage stores where all the clothes are amazing, I get too scared to try things on or buy them. It’s just another weird phobia I have. Places are too white, too noisy, too quiet, people look at me oddly- I JUST HATE SHOPS. But last week, with some birthday money in my hand and a few friends for moral support I plucked up the courage to buy something that I’ve wanted again since I grew out of them aged 6- DUNGAREES! Yes they were from New Look (yuck) but I love them. IMG_0143

I’ve also had this Smiths patch for ages and haven’t known where to put it- yay, it fits perfectly

What else has happened this week:
SCN_0011
Got a really beautiful birthday card in the post, it's so so so pretty I literally can't get over it.
for blogger
Turned some 99p slippers into Morrissey and Bowie high fashion ones.
sulk
Received the photos of me being a moody sulky model for a friend (part of the Teddy boy post a few weeks ago) (there's more decade shoots coming up and this was me from the 80's) (so Heathers)

I have also spent some time at my friend's house, having my hair crimped, dreadlocked and dyed blue in certain splodgy areas- the effect is very um, well I look like a bedraggled lion.

This is my collection of sd cards I take to college, I have no idea why I'm posting this but my heart is broken with THREE of them shattering and yes, I've lost the photos forever, and sd cards are very expensive when they're 16gb ones- and that's a lot of photos gone.

But on the plus side my graphics tape past old young project is going quite well, I'm excited for a weekend of doing some work on it, drinking tea, dancing to Patti Smith and reading Irvine Welsh's Porno.

What have you done this week?

  1. This post is full of beautiful things, I really like your Bowie-Morrissey shoes and even if I'm not a big fan of dungarees (maybe because they are the only maternity clothes you can buy around here and it looks ridiculous that girls that never used them go around with huge bellies in blue jeans)but you managed to make it looks so cool to me!!
Can't wait to see more of your Teddy boys photoshoot is so inspiring!I love Heathers style, so '87!
    Sorry for the long comment!!

  2. I love this post so much! that card you received is so gorgeous! The dugarees (called overalls where I'm from) are so cute and cool with the smiths patch! My sister just got some but they don't fit me, and you just make me want some of my own so badly!

  3. I love that you love the Smiths so much. I saw Morrissey live for the first time when I was 16 and came home and practically built a shrine to him in my bedroom! The Bowie and Morrissey slippers are cool xx

    1. Ugh you're so lucky. I live a life very devoted to him and I'm glad you're not getting annoyed with my posts constantly having a Morrissey twist. Thankyou <333

  4. I have so many things to say about this post! Firstly, your room is absolutely amazing. My attention was immediately drawn to the penguin postcards on the wall - they have been on my amazon wish list for ages but when I eventually buy them I know I'll be reluctant to send them to anyone as they're so nice I know I'll want to keep them! You've given me an idea of how to solve that problem, however, so thank you. Secondly, the dungarees are fabulous (especially with the Smith's patch which makes them completely unique and no one will ever guess they were from new look now!) and thirdly the modelling shots of you are great. So glad your graphics project is going well, have a lovely weekend x

    1. Thankyou, I do like my room though it's very cramped and messy! I really want extra boxes to send people, and the other types of postcard boxes they do, I'm in love with them. Thankyou again. I hope you've had a really great weekend, you deserve one. xxx

  5. I really like how your friends are so open for photo shoots and dressing up! My friends either don't want to do it or are too busy to help me out with my projects. Also, are dungarees the same thing as overalls? Just wondering. :)

    1. Aw that sucks, photoshoots are so much fun. Yes I think the are the same thing, just a different word. I prefer the word dungarees though, it's so much fun to say. x

  6. My mother have the same exact chest of drawers in her room! Except it's in a less enviable state. Used to be mine in childhood.
Memory cards dying is my biggest fear :/
Also: picture with glasses reminds me of France Gall.
I wish I could do a photoshoot with some people... (I've the same problem with trying/touching things in shops, too!)
