Pressing petals

Making tea

Good afternoon/evening. I thought I'd fill you in on a few things I've done this weekend which I think would apply to anyone who is stuck on something to do/ new ways to do anything to avoid what is actually meant to be being done. I'm one for heavy procrastination and today for the first time since I bought my mini tea strainer last year I've actually used it!! They're only a few pounds from a healthy eating type shop (I got mine from where I work) and it's so much fun. I made a raspberry and rose petal brew just by filling up the little thing, closing the hatch and dipping in hot water- it was the nicest cuppa I've had in a while.

This post almost has a nature type feel because I've cut up a lot of pressed and scanned flowers and leaves for letter decoration. Stickers are great but for something extra cute it's nice to decorate things with these too!!

Here's one I decorated earlier...

Fashion wise I've been dressed rather stupidly, finding comfort in part of my gcse drama outfit- a still fake blood covered white shirt, which this weekend I've refused to be without almost.. I love it to bits and it's so warm and has a perfect stiff collar that I really want to decorate!
I went walking out on the hills yesterday after finding my bike had a puncture, and it was really fun to wander about discovering new places despite being dressed in stupid shoes (I was expecting to just be pedaling) and assorted tights/knee high socks/woolly socks...
Anyway, I hope you all did something fun this weekend, even if it was just lonely odd procrastination like me! Infact if anyone reads this, I'd love a comment about what you did/what you do when you get bored. Thankyou!! xxxxx

  4. Aw amazing. I went through a phase of drying flowers last summer when I discovered the rose garden at this manor house in Bristol. Plus perfect for procrastination but looks like a pretty productive weekend to me!
