Doing a teenytiny post because 7 years ago today, a little 9 year old me went to her first real concert of The Darkness. And I’m not going to lie, it was one of the best nights ever, though all I remember is head banging with my best friend at the time and Justin riding out onto the audience on a huge stuffed toy white tiger. (I promise this wasn’t a hallucination.)
I cried when their beautiful song "Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)" didn’t get the Christmas number one quite a few years ago, and although The Darkness do still have that special place in my heart (don’t laugh at me, their songs are brill to just go crazy to/be characters/smile) Gary Jules doing Mad World still makes me sob like a loony. So yay The Darkness!!
Ooh and noone wears a catsuit like Justin Hawkins, it's a style statement, he has a look, he's cool!!
